The Covid Safe Ticket is the health certificate that allows people to prove that they are vaccinated, immune or Covid-19 negative and then gain access to certain events. It is read and validated directly through the CovidScan application, which, in the case of vaccinated individuals, checks prior to ticket validation that the vaccinated individual has not recently passed a positive PCR test. This verification would be done against an encrypted list. A potential security flaw was noticed by a citizen at this stage of the scanning process, the Data Protection Authority said in a statement on Wednesday.
