“Possible abandonment of a crucial feature by Apple in their phones”

It seems that one of the most important developments announced by Apple on its iPhone has been canceled due to technical problems, according to prominent technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for his accurate information about the new Apple designs.

And Mac World quotes Ku as saying that Apple will not proceed with installing the “solid state” buttons, which it was planning to make as a substitute for the current volume and screen off buttons.

The solid-state button is not a mechanical button in the known sense, like the current phone buttons, but rather a button that depends on touch only, and a small vibration motor is placed in it that gives whoever presses it a feeling of “pressing” the button, without there being an actual button press.

And Apple placed these buttons in the past on the iPhone 7, within the large Home button, which I canceled completely later on.

According to Kuo, “due to unresolved technical issues before production, both high-end iPhone 15 Pro models (Pro and Pro Max) will abandon the solid-state button design, and return to the traditional regular button design.”

This prediction blows up previous predictions of the appearance of “solid state buttons” on new phones, which are predictions that have been dealt with with confidence so far.

It is believed that the company considered applying the new buttons to reduce manufacturing and maintenance costs, in addition to giving the new phones a great design advantage.
