US Secretary of State Antony Blinken did not rule out the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Joe Biden.
“Never say never. Ultimately, everyone, starting with the Ukrainians, wants a just and lasting peace. Let’s see if we ever get to the point where this is possible,” the head of American diplomacy said at an event organized at The Atlantic.
According to Blinken, we are not talking about a new cold war in the world.
“I don’t think we’re in a new Cold War. However, we are in a new era because, as we see it, the post-Cold War era has ended. And we are now in a period of intense competition to shape what comes next. Competition, which in various forms covers Russia and China,” said the US Secretary of State.
