Portugal’s soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has further expanded his goal record in international matches: In a 5-0 (3-0) World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg, the 36-year-old Manchester United professional scored 113, 114 and 115 .
At the Algarve Stadium in Faro, Ronaldo scored with a penalty in the opening stages of his 182nd international match and scored the end point with his third goal in stoppage time.
In September, Ronaldo broke Ali Daei’s record. The Iranian led the top scorer list for 15 years with 110 goals.
Portugal are one point behind Serbia in Group A with 16 points, but have played one game less than the leaders. The Serbs won 3-1 against Azerbaijan.
