“At this point I would say that there is a strong possibility of Ronaldo going into the game against Qatar, either as a starter or coming on later during the second half, so that the competitive rhythm is maximum against Luxembourg.” he concluded.
Cristiano Ronaldo himself is chasing the record for the player with the most caps at the international level. The United forward currently has 180 caps for Portugal and is close to Soh Chin Ann’s record of 195 caps for Malaysia.
“Thinking about the match against Qatar is not about records, he will always beat those records. He’s not worried about that,” Santos said.
