Thus, despite the fact that the official list has not yet been released, it is already known that countries such as the United States, Brazil and African Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP) will initially be left out, which means that the citizens of those countries they can only travel to Portugal with a negative Covid-19 test, carried out in the last 72 hours.

Even so, from Portugal to the same countries in question, only essential trips can be made, namely for the return of residents, work, study, health and humanitarian reasons, according to the same source from the Government, quoted by ‘Público.

From this Wednesday, July 1st, Portugal will be able to fly and receive flights from EU member states and the Schengen area, including Spain. All those who were outside the EU, may be admitted to our country, as long as they are part of the list, which should be presented later today, by the European Commission.

Travel to and from the UK is still under negotiation, but the same source told ‘Público’, who believes that a positive solution will be found, with Portugal being eliminated from the list of countries that forces passengers to be quarantined. .
