The Facebook company will start stream music videos Officially licensed on its platform from next month, something that for now will only reach U.S.
Facebook has informed owners of pages linked to artists they should enable a new setting before the August 1st for the social network to add their music videos.
By enabling the new settings, artists you won’t have to manually upload your videosbut they will give Facebook permission to add your music videos to your page.
In this way, artists give permission to Facebook to share information about Likes, actions, comments, visits and other engagement data associated with these automatically generated posts.
However, artists they can edit or delete their videos, as well as the title, description and labels at any time once enabled, as reported by the portal Techcrunch.
Facebook has explained that in the tab videos from the artists page, will include both official videos of artists like those in which they appear.
For artists who decide not to enable the setting before August 1, Facebook will have a separate page that will be created and controlled by the platform. Users can access this page through the tab Facebook Watch and a new section of music videos on the social network.
