Facebook has presented a new version of its privacy center, the place where it gathers information on how it collects, uses and shares user data, with which it seeks to “educate” on the privacy options that it makes available to people. .
Facebook’s privacy center has released a new version, on a limited basis with a set of users in the United States, first for the desktop version of the platform, although the company’s intention is to extend it to more users in the coming months.
This new version, as explained in a statement, seeks to “educate people about their privacy options” and make it easier for them to understand how the social network collects and uses information. And it does so through five sections: security, sharing, collection, use and advertisements.
Each thematic section includes a series of guides and related controls so that users can manage their profiles and learn about the company’s approach to privacy in its applications and technologies.
