Porsche is already testing an electric boxster, reveals a video from Sweden, published by a YouTube channel CarSpyMedia. There, the car is carefully disguised and drives through the snow.

Of course, we see the most camouflage on the front and rear of the machine, where foil and black tape try to hide the completely new shape of the lamps. Part of the masking at the back is even a fake exhaust tip, which, however, in the context of the other parts of the car – and especially the absence of the sound of the combustion engine – will confuse few people.

The car retains the proportions of the current boxster, giving the impression that the engine is located behind the rear seats. It is possible that the battery found its place in the space behind the seats; they are almost certainly not in the floor given how low the car sits. We can estimate the charging socket under the cut-out in the masking film in the middle of the rear bumper.

Despite similar proportions to the current machine, the electric boxster due to hit the market in 2025 will stand on a different technical footing. The platform is to be specially developed for Porsche’s small sports cars, i.e. the Boxster and Cayman models, but some of its parts are to be shared with other cars, the website writes Motor1.comwhich brings the message.

As with the previous 718 series, we can also expect rear-wheel drive for the electric boxster. Whether a second electric motor on the front axle will be added for a sharp version, we can only speculate for now.
