Popular Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect continues after ban on YouTube

During the first livestream, 500,000 people simultaneously watched Beahm continue to play on YouTube, reports Kotaku. Thousands of people also took out a subscription for 5 euros to support the video maker.

Beahm was streamed from streaming site Twitch at the end of June, where his broadcasts always took place until then. Twitch has never publicly revealed why the streamer was banned. During interviews, Beahm said he also did not know the reason. He did not want to say more about it “for legal reasons”.

During the YouTube stream it was also briefly about the Twitch suspension, although Beahm again gave no explanation. “I want you to look me in the eye as I say this,” said the gamer. “We have no idea what happened.”

One of the most popular streamers

For many years Beahm was one of the most popular creators on Twitch, playing games and commenting on hours of broadcasts.

At the time, the video maker was not uncontroversial. Earlier this summer, he spread conspiracy theories about the coronavirus to his viewers. He was also criticized for being a character with an exaggerated Chinese accent. Twitch temporarily suspended him in 2019 after he made recordings from the toilet at a game fair.
