None of the possible routes of transmission of the coronavirus, including ingestion of the virus with food and water, provided that it is known to transmit it by airborne droplets and upon contact, cannot be ruled out. This was stated by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova in an interview for the film Naili Asker-zade “Dangerous Virus” on the channel “Russia-1”.

At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that the virus, according to studies, can persist on the surface for up to three days. “But the fact that the virus is stored on objects for a long time, up to 72 hours, as our colleagues who conducted these studies say, while we accept this as the knowledge we need. At home, getting rid of the virus can be something hot, or we can boil something, ironing is a long-known way, ”said Anna Popova.
A few days earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended non-working days until May 12, in connection with which the mandatory regime of self-isolation was extended in most regions of the country until the same date.
As Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, each of the Russian regions should provide a plan for phasing out restrictive measures.
“And actually, just before the indicated deadline, that is, until the 12th day, all the heads of the regions and the federal center, whom the president urged to remain in the workplace, they will develop a phased exit plan taking into account the current dynamics. It is necessary to make a reservation here all the time, taking into account the current dynamics, ”Peskov emphasized.
Moreover, in general, decisions of this nature will be made after the May holidays. Therefore, in order not to aggravate the epidemiological situation in the country, Peskov recalled that it is better for Russians to stay at home, observing the regime of self-isolation.

He said that he understood that there was no longer any strength to endure this self-isolation, but on the other hand, he urged everyone to still unite together and already sit in this regime for the rest of the week, the remaining days before decisions are made about a phased exit, ”the Kremlin representative recalled.
