Poll in Israel, Prime Minister Netanyahu is under attack. Eighty percent of Israelis believe Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must publicly take responsibility for the shocking failings that led to the devastating attack by Hamas on October 7, according to an opinion poll by the Maariv newspaper.
The leaders of the IDF and the Shin Bet have already assumed this responsibility, as have the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Finance. According to the poll, 80% of Israelis say Netanyahu should follow suit, including 69% of those who voted for the prime minister’s Likud party in last year’s elections. Only 8% of the public opinion, however, thinks that it should not do so.
