The world of work has been turned upside down in recent months due to the pandemic, and teleworking has almost become a norm in many companies, which workers appreciate, according to a survey by the firm ADP released Wednesday morning.

The results of this probe show that 6 out of 10 Quebecers prefer to telework every day, or 3 to 4 days a week, without seeing their wages reduced.

“It makes us think that maybe it is not the fear of being infected with COVID that makes people not want to go back, but a preference for working from home,” Munteanu said.

In addition to teleworking, several other measures put forward during the pandemic could become permanent, in order to keep its employees.

In the ADP poll, only 14% of people interviewed said they were eager to return to their workplace, a figure that has fallen since May, while a previous ADP survey noted that 33% were eager to return to work. office.

In addition, 18% of employees do not want to return to the workplace at all.

In light of these numbers, Munteanu argues that employers will need to continue to be flexible and listen to employees in order to keep them within their company.

Quebecers are anxious about returning to work
