Poll De Hond: VVD in crisis, BBB shows unprecedented growth

In the new poll by Maurice de Hond we see an unprecedented loss of seats for the VVD in barely a year. Mark Rutte’s party is polled for 22 seats, twelve less than it currently has in the House of Representatives. The PVV is also declining. The BoerBurgerBeweging is showing unprecedented growth, and JA21 and Volt are also indispensable.

BBB belongs in all polls to the biggest winners, a year ago almost the whole of the Netherlands was still unfamiliar with this match. But in various polls, the parties can count on about six to eight seats. It shows that many Dutch people are done with tackling farmers disproportionately, the bureaucratic nonsense about the nitrogen crisis and the lack of a new administrative culture. In a year’s time, the party of Caroline van der Plas has become indispensable. JA21 and Volt have also experienced similar growth, the traditional parties are squandering it and new parties are taking full advantage of this.

Many established parties (VVD, CDA, PvdA and ChristenUnie) are at a significant loss compared to a year ago. The VVD took the hardest hits. The party was at an unapproachable height in the polls during most of the corona crisis and in the last parliamentary elections, the party became by far the largest in the country. Now this status seems to be coming to an end soon.

D66 with Sigrid Kaag at the helm continues to experience turbulent times. A year ago, the party was still 13 seats in the polls, a month later the party managed to win 24 seats, but the party quickly fell again in the seats.

A call from the editors: DDS, like many other websites, is having a very difficult time due to the corona crisis. We want to keep everything readable for everyone for free, so that we depend on advertising for our income. But companies have financial concerns, so they don’t have much to worry about. We also notice the consequences of this. Hence our appeal to you, our readers: please support us! Through the reliable Dutch BackMe system you can donate monthly or once. Please do, and help DDS stay afloat!

The new party in particular benefits from this ailing course among the established parties.
