Bulgarian political scientist and sociologist Antonii Galabov died suddenly on Tuesday. His colleague Antoniy Todorov announced it on Facebook.

Antonii Galabov was born in Sofia on January 30, 1964. He graduated in Sociology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 1989 and defended his doctorate in the specialty in 1996.

He has been a member of the Bulgarian Sociological Association since 1985, as well as of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Cultural Policy.

Galabov headed the working group on Roma problems at the Council of Ministers from 1997 to 2001. He is also the founder of the Bulgarian Society for Individual Freedom.

Since 2008 he is associate professor at the Political Science Department of the New Bulgarian University. Doctor of Sciences.
