Mikhail Sheitelman popularly explained the absurdity of the peace plan, where the invaders are left with the territories they occupied: “Russians, what are they saying? These are our conquests, and we will not give them up: this is the official policy of Russia. Can anyone subscribe to this? In Europe or North America there is at least one politician who will sign a paper and say: “Oh, this is your conquest? Then, of course, it is yours.” This makes no sense. Then it turns out that if we signed such a paper today, then tomorrow they will make new conquests, since we mean that this is now according to the law“.

The political strategist described a scenario in which events could develop if the world recognizes the occupied territories of Ukraine as Russian: “If a paper is signed saying that what you conquered is yours, and we can also make Ukraine sign it: That’s it, this is your territory, take it. The next day we launch an attack on Rostov, and capture it, and say: “And this is our conquest.” We agreed whose conquests belong to him“.
At the same time, Mikhail Sheitelman described the absurdity the world could reach by allowing the Russian Federation to officially appropriate foreign territories: “Then everyone will begin to conquer each other. Why can’t we conquer something from Hungary? We have the largest army in Europe, and we can conquer a lot of people if we follow this principle. Can we conquer Belarus? It’s actually easy”.
Earlier, Sheitelman named two things in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces have an “invincible advantage.”
