At the end of August, the Polish Ski Association conducted two Summer Grand Prix competitions this season. It has also been decided that the Summer Continental Cup competition will be organized, although it is not an event where you can make money. On the contrary. However, the coaches wanted to give practically the whole show a chance the frame (pose store, Kubacki and Żyła). The goal for this weekend was to win the full, seven-person starting amount for the first winter period of the World Cup. It turns out, however, that it can be very difficult. This is quite unexpected news.
“We are aware that the amount may be reduced”
– First of all, you have to give your best trials in the competition, and then we will think about the results. On the other hand, in the back of our head, we are aware that we have competitions at home. We have the ability to start and score points. It is known that winter will come and not all competitions will take place. Points in the classifications may miss us and we are aware that our starting amount may be reduced – said M.aciej Maciusiak, who in the absence of Michał Doleżal was the first coach of our team.
Jump of the day performed by Tomasz Pilch
In the top ten we saw only two Poles. Aleksander Zniszczoł was fourth, and Paweł Wąsek was 10th. Tomasz Pilch took the 14th place, in the second series he had Friday’s best flight. The young jumper flew as much as 135 meters, but the system took a lot of points from him for the wind into the skis. However, it was a very positive accent for Polish jumpers.
– Today was the lottery. Not everyone was lucky, and when it did, a lot of points were deducted from, for example, Tom Pilch. However, it can be said that the results we performed were simply average – added Maciej Maciusiak. Unfortunately, the Poles disappointed. In the 48-person field of the Continental Cup backstage, Stefan Hula was 17th, Klemens Murańka was 18th and Maciej Kot was 19th. 22. Andrzej Stękała, and only the 26th place was taken by Jakub Wolny. The second LPK competition in Wisła will be held on Saturday at 10.00.
