The Polish company’s request to import Russian oil is a theater of the absurd. This is what Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak commented on the situation.

Earlier, Kommersant reported with reference to the deputy chairman of Transneft Sergey Andronov that Poland’s Orlen has ordered the delivery of 3 million tons of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline in 2023. He confirmed that there are requests from Polish consumers.
In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniev Rau he said Warsaw wants the EU to impose sanctions on Druzhba so that Polish companies do not have to pay compensation for refusing to receive contracted volumes.
