Poland sends 900 soldiers to border with Belarus | Abroad

The refugees are flown to the Belarusian capital Minsk and from there soldiers led to the border. Latvian border guards recently recorded how Belarusian soldiers sent migrants across the border.

“Polish army is supporting border guards with 900 extra people,” Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak wrote on Twitter. The Polish Ministry of the Interior reports that even more people can be sent if necessary.

This month, 2,100 people attempted to cross the border into Poland, the interior ministry said. In the past 24 hours, there were 138. 758 people have been arrested and 1,342 people have been sent back to Belarus.
