Pokà © mon GO, Community Day Magikarp and Leviator: our complete guide

The surprising Community Day for August 2020 is coming to Pokémon GO! Everything will happen this Saturday August 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This time, the Pokémon in the spotlight is none other than Magikarp, which evolves into Leviator, two emblematic representatives of the 1st generation with legendary Shiny versions. Without further ado, here are all our tips to make the most of it. The Stardust and the Red Leviator are yours!

If it’s possible for you, take some time before the event starts to prepare yourself well. Even if the event lasts all day, you are going to need quite a bit of resources. Especially if you participate in Community Day while staying at home.

Start by freeing up your Pokémon storage space. Keep at least 200 places, so you don’t have to worry about it. Nothing is more frustrating than being slowed down due to saturated storage …

Also prepare your bag. You will need around 100 Nanana berries and 200 Super Ball. Also remember to have some Framby berries in case you run into a Shiny and obviously a lot of Pokéballs (the Hyper Balls would be wasted if you use a lot here. You will need them more in the next events). Obviously consider having at least one incense. You can plan 2 but we do not necessarily advise you to play 6 hours for Magikarp. Using one or more well-timed Star Pieces can be a good idea! To get the most out of them, set aside some end-of-quest rewards.

Usually, we recommend that you play in places full of PokéStops and call your friends. Given the current conditions (between pandemic and heat wave), we strongly advise you to stay quietly at home this time! And if you do decide to stay home, it can be helpful to have a few gifts ready to be opened in reserve to replenish your inventory.

There is a trick to know imperatively to optimize your time: the fast capture. Some fast capture techniques have been patched, but not this one! Here is a little tutorial:

Chain your captures under Incense and Piece of Star! Of course, if you are playing away from home, choose a park or place where there are many PokéStops and active lures (especially ice-cold premium lures).

If you’re not particularly interested in mass capture and dust accumulation, you probably want to know which Magikarp and Leviator with the best IVs. For Magikarp, you must aim for 117 CP at level 15 (in research missions), 157 CP at level 20 (when exiting an egg or a raid fight) and 235 CP level 30 (in the wild) . For Leviator, aim for 1453 CP at level 15, 1937 CP at level 20, and 2907 CP at level 30.

We said earlier, after the event you have two extra hours to get Leviator with its exclusive attack. You have to optimize your time in this short period.

The first thing to do is find your best Magikarp. One of the latest updates brought a very convenient way to sort and calculate your IVs. We will tell you more about it in this dedicated article. What we advise you to do is to classify your Pokémon by PC then to type in the search bar the command Grainipiot &! 3 * & 4 *. Your best specimens are all here.

Once the best Migicarpe are spotted, make exchanges. Do as much as possible until around 6:30 p.m. Your goal is to obtain Lucky Magikarp. Again, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide to Lucky Friends that you can build on. ”

Between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., make all your evolutions. Your objective is to collect Leviator with nice IV, nice CP, nice color and exclusive attack! That being said, keep in mind that Leviator is a pretty good Pokémon, but not great either. Don’t invest too much time and resources in it either!

Finally, note that on August 11 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the transfer candies are doubled. If you have enough room in your storage to keep your hundreds of Magikarp aside until that moment and you’re still hungry for candy, wait 3 days and put a reminder on your phone!

I see that we are not breaking the bonnet to write the articles, but that we are content to copy / paste the previous one concerning a Community Day. But when we do that, we have to think about rereading ourselves
