Associate Director Marketing Poco Indonesia Andi Renreng said that RAM is one of the components that most determines the performance of a cellphone. According to him, the larger the RAM capacity, the better.

“When the application is no longer running, it will be deleted from RAM. “That’s why RAM is also often referred to as temporary memory,” he continued
Architecturally, he continued, RAM is positioned between the CPU and storage to bridge the work of these two elements. This means that the OS and applications and other data that will be processed by the CPU are prepared by RAM by taking it from storage. In this way, the CPU simply accesses the data in RAM.
“This is faster and more efficient than the CPU having to read/retrieve it from storage, where the access speed is far below RAM and the contents are still ‘mixed’ with data that you don’t want to use,” he explained.
“If you make an analogy, RAM is a pocket on a shirt or trouser, temporarily storage a cell phone is a backpack. It would be much quicker to find and take the object we want from a pocket than from a backpack, right? “It’s simple, something like that,” explained Andi again.
