The idea is quite simple. We had to think about it: how to allow professional musicians to work while the rooms are closed. For these zicos of Plougrescant and surroundings, the nose towards the sea, it is there that they found.
“It all started with the bar Le Gonéry. We had the idea of a collective that would leave with a caravan transformed into a stage ”remembers Phil Guyard, the accordionist of the group.
“Yves Marie gave us this old wooden boat. And the idea was imposed of a stage arranged, lugged on a trailer to go from city to city. “
The great team
It didn’t take more to convince seven music fans: Bruno Jeusset, Christine Manette, Christian Herbrik, Philippe Guyard, Isabelle Lemay, David Trolong and Pascal Jeusset.
“Almost everyone we had groups. We said to ourselves that we were going to offer turnkey shows to associations and town halls. “
On board, embark the Touareg brothers, the group E’Djiveli and the singer L’Amanite.
“It’s all a friendship story, that’s all. A bit like Gabin in the film La Belle Team where they create a tavern on the banks of the Marne. “
Content and container
A Plougrescant, you have to be a good sailor to face the pebbles of Pors hir and Heaux de Bréhat. Whatever the crew is solid.
“We had the content, we needed the container” summarizes Philippe Guyard. The virtuoso accordionist is on the move to unite this great team. After a career in Paris, he returned to settle in the Trégor. Member of Ty Jaz, then of Glochos and now of Amanite, did not wish to remain inactive during confinement.
Both repeat regularly. Records are in preparation. But this is a whole different project.
“There we will make a step forward to pose the returns. We have planned a lighting system and all the electrical wiring. They can already be seen at the foot of the wooden hull. The online jackpot has already collected 2,500 euros out of the 3,000 planned, enough to carry out the first works.
A tour of the Trégor
The first tour will stay in the Trégor for practical reasons: “Our trailer does not have the double axle necessary to go further. It will be for next year. There is already a lot to do around here.
“We can also go to people’s homes for private parties. The formula is very flexible. “
Rather than waiting for hypothetical reopening, the small band took the initiative to go directly to the village squares: a little bit of oriental Breton music, music from the East and the Balkans without forgetting a chorus of guinguette. So much for the proposed program. It all smells good on reunion evenings.
“We will of course start at home at Plougrescant, it will be June 19. The stage will be installed where they created it, on the lawn of the bar Le Gavroche.
The more they talk about it, the more support it gets. The stage boat of the Gomec’h Family is now sailing towards success.
