PLN Opens Voice Regarding Blocked Customer ID Complaints

PT PLN (Persero) responds to complaints from people who cannot pay bills electricity because they received a notification that the customer’s identity number (ID) was blocked.

PLN’s Vice President of Public Relations Arsyadany G Akmalaputri explained that prospective recipients of the electricity stimulus from the government have not been able to pay bills because PLN is currently processing the printing of bills for July 2021.

This is done to accommodate the extension of the electricity bill discount policy for 450 VA and 900 VA customers, as well as exemption from fees/subscription fees and minimum accounts.

“The bill of the customer receiving the stimulus has not been able to pay the electricity bill because PLN is in the process of making the bill in July 2021 to accommodate the extension of the electricity bill discount policy,” he explained to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (6/7).

As is known, the government has extended the discount on electricity bills until next September in the midst of the Emergency PPKM. However, the discount given for the next 3 months is smaller than before.

If previously 450 VA customers were free of charge, now customers are charged 50 percent of the bill. While the rest is free as much as 50 percent.

As for 900 VA customers, the discount was lowered from 50 percent to 25 percent.

The government also provides relief for minimum account fees and expense/subscription fees for 1.1 million entrepreneurs in the industrial, business, and social sectors.

If previously the minimum subscription and account were paid for by the government or free of charge, now entrepreneurs are charged 50 percent.
