Please Audit PT GSI, Scary Novel Comments

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Spokesperson for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Jodi Mahardi invited the Civil Society Caucus to audit PT Genomeric Solidaritas Indonesia (GSI) related to business PCR test.

“Please apply for an audit to PT GSI. Toba Sejahtera is only the owner of a minority stake in social entrepreneurship, but Pak Luhut has no objections to the audit,” said Jodi to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (30/11).

However, Jodi made conditions to the civil society group before auditing PT GSI. He asked the Civil Society Caucus to donate 50,000 PCR tests and tools genome sequencing if nothing is found in the audit results.

“As did Pak Luhut and his friends or at least they did the corresponding social devotion. So that fair, people can also see their good intentions, don’t usually make noise,” he said.

Furthermore, Jodi highlighted comments by former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan regarding the PT GSI audit plan at the Civil Society Caucus press conference yesterday. According to him, Novel’s statement was judgmental and made his own conclusions.

Wedeni [menakutkan] Also yes, the pattern and way of thinking of investigators or auditors is like that,” he said.

Previously, the Civil Society Caucus for democracy and justice stated that it was ready to audit PT GSI, one of the companies providing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests in detecting Covid-19.

The caucus representative, Ferry Juliantono, said that his party had prepared a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) to audit PT GSI. Ferry is waiting for Luhut’s time to audit the company founded by several parties.

Former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan admitted that he was ready and wanted to participate in auditing the PCR test business by PT GSI. Novel is part of the Civil Society Caucus.

According to him, if PT GSI is audited, the parties involved in it can be revealed and further investigated. He believes the audit is the main door to open the problem.

“Everyone who goes bad by taking advantage [dari PCR] This must be held accountable,” said Novel.

PT GSI is suspected to be related to Luhut through PT Toba Bumi Energi and SOE Minister Erick Thohir through the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation, which is led by his brother Boy Thohir. Luhut claimed that he did not make any profit in the PCR test business of PT GSI.
