PlayStation wants half of its games on PC and Mobile by 2025

It was during the annual investor day that Sony will have revealed its plans for the future of PlayStation.

According to VGC, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment spoke about a campaign to expand PlayStation products to other platforms during the annual investor meeting.

This expansion is, according to VGC, to bring Sony games to PC and Mobile platforms gradually over the next 3 years. This expansion sees the percentage of games on these platforms rising to around half, rivaling the other half with PlayStation 5 releases.

This will have been one of the slides revealed at the meeting.

The desire to launch more products in live service to fit the needs of today’s community. Pointed out a total of 12 titles live service which are currently under development by PlayStation Studios.

A weighty note, it realizes that the launches of Sony titles on PS4 will cease to exist until 2025, passing entirely to the new generation. Games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and God of War already have their presence on the computer, followed by Uncharted 4.

The intent of this move is clear in a comment given by Jim Ryan to VGC “By expanding to PC and Mobile, without forgetting… Live Services, we have the opportunity to move from a situation where we are present in a restricted segment of the video game market, to be present practically everywhere.
