People can argue that the hardware specification can be the USP of the console and it all depends on the power of the machine. However, price plays a major role in the decision to buy the console.
Price Wars on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
When the PS4 and Xbox One launched, Microsoft revealed the price before Sony in 2013. Microsoft valued the Xbox One at $ 499. Sony decided to go with a price that reversed the trend for good when they valued the PS4 at $ 399. It’s a difference of $ 100!
The number may seem relatively small on paper, but when you count it in terms of sales figures, this can be quite surprising. Even though the consoles were fairly similar in terms of hardware specifications, the PS4 dominated sales with around 110 million units sold.
