To get the Master Sword in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you must have at least 13 hearts in the HP bar, as the weapon does good damage to Link.
However, a player has just found a way to get the sword with just three hearts — that is, right at the beginning of the game — without using external modifications or hacks, just taking advantage of a glitch from the game itself.
Discovery was made by user BoT__W, do Twitter, and consists of two simple steps.
The first is to create a bonfire near the Master Sword in Korok Forest. Then, position yourself between the fire and the sword, aim the camera at the sky and have Link rest (which will make time pass). Upon awakening, pick up the sword immediately — and it will be added to your inventory without doing any damage.

Apparently, aiming the camera upwards while Link rests on a fire affects the area for a few seconds and turns the Master Sword into a normal item, making it possible to pick it up without any problem.
