Due to the ban on contact due to the Corona virus personal meetings are currently not possible. Video conferencing tools are currently experiencing a decent boom. It is particularly popular Skype. On the one hand, many have installed the software on their PC from before, on the other hand, the messenger in the free version allows video chats with up to 50 people. But just chatting is boring in the long run.

So that the evening with friends or family remains entertaining, a few games are needed. Skype does not offer any games itself, but many party classics can also be played on the webcam – would you like an example? Below are some game ideas for your Skype party with friends or family:

  • City-Country-River: Each participant only needs a pen and a sheet of paper. On this he draws a table with three columns (city, country, river). Alternately one player now says the alphabet softly, another calls stop. Now each player has to write down a city, a country and a river as soon as possible, starting with the letter that called for the stop. Whoever is the first to finish calls “Stop” and reads his terms. If they win the round and get a point. Otherwise you can continue guessing. The game can be played with an infinite number of participants.
  • Hangman: The game master comes up with a word. For each letter of the word, a line is drawn on paper. Now the players take turns guessing which letters appear in the word. If a letter is guessed correctly, it will be entered in the appropriate place. Otherwise, the game master begins to paint a hangman. He can put a dash for each failed attempt. If the gallows are finished before the word has been guessed, the game master has won.
  • Who am I: Each player imagines a person he is in the game. The other players can now ask questions that you must answer with yes or no – until one player has guessed the person you came up with. Now it goes on with the next player.
  • Pack suitcase: Child’s play can also amuse you at the Skype party. A player starts with the sentence “I pack my suitcase and take it with me …”. Each player then adds an item to the suitcase. The following players have to list all the things that are already in the suitcase and add another one. Whoever forgets something first loses.
  • Freeze challenge: Who can stay the longest in a pose? Try it too.
