Red Plato Lleno is a food awareness initiative that seeks to give food back the value it has been losing in recent times. Motivated by respect for food, volunteers from Plato Lleno carry out the “Rescue” action, which consists of the removal and distribution of surplus food that, due to aesthetic control or other reasons, is left without destination. The rescued food is delivered free of charge to picnic areas, dining rooms and homes.
In 2022 we rescue 104 tons of food, which is equivalent to 304,232 plates of food.

We are an independent, non-profit organization that does not accept donations from governments or political parties. We also do not accept “symbolic collaborations” from the sectors benefiting from our programs. Our commitment to our donors guarantees transparency, as they are our main auditors.
