PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar said it would cooperate with Democratic party in around 30 regions in the 2020 Simultaneous Local Election.
Muhaimin did not elaborate on the area where the PKB and Democrat coalition was located. But he ensured that the coalition had been agreed with Democratic Party Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono at their meeting at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7).
“We agreed to cooperate more deeply in the field of regional head, regional head elections,” Muhaimin said at a press conference at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7). “Earlier I was counted in the thirties with Democrats,” he continued.
Responding to this, AHY welcomed positively. He opened the PKB and Democratic coalition opportunities in more regions.
“God willing, the future is getting closer, as stated by the General Chairperson of PKB that Democrats and PKBs have a lot in common, harmony in seeing Indonesia as a whole,” said AHY.
Both also remember the government of the sixth era of RI President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in a meeting at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7).
Cak Imin said that PKB and Democrats had formed a long-standing cooperation, starting when forming a coalition to support the SBY government.
“The Democratic Party and the PKB are two parties that have worked together for a long time, ten years in the days of President SBY and in parliament,” Muhaimin told a news conference after the meeting.
