Pistons snap Celtics’ winning streak

In Boston, Jerami Grant hit the game-winning basket and scored 24 points to help the Detroit Pistons end an eight-game losing streak by beating the Celtics 112-111.

With the win, the Pistons also snapped the Celtics’ nine-game winning streak.

Star Jayson Tatum had a chance to send the Celtics into the All-Star break this weekend on a 10-game winning streak, but his last-minute shot missed the top of the rim. Tatum scored nine of his 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Cade Cunningham scored 20 boards and had a key block in the final minute in the Pistons’ first win since Jan. 30.

Saddiq Bey added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Kelly Olynyk had 15 points for the Pistons.

Brown led Boston with 31 points. Al Horford finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Grant Williams scored 17 boards.

Boston was coming off a 135-87 blowout win the night before at Philadelphia.
