According to reports from the Russian Defense Ministry, the military defended a cargo ship from attack by pirates in the Gulf of Guinea. In the video, shared on Youtube by the same Ministry of Defense, we see the army in action.

According to reports from “Defense Analysis”, the Russian naval unit received a distress signal from the container ship registered in Panama, Msc Lucia, which was en route from Togo to Cameroon, sending a unit of marines on board by helicopter and the pirates immediately fled. The soldiers thus freed the crew who had taken refuge in the engine compartment.
