Pinterest launches Story Pins in France

Unlike other platforms, these stories have the particularity of not being ephemeral.

While the Pinterest platform continues to develop, with more than 400 million registered users in 2020, the social network has just announced the arrival in France of its new Pin Story feature. Designed to allow content creators to share more posts with their audiences, the tool promises immersive content, capable of enhancing interaction between users. In a press release published a few days ago, the social network states: “Content creators have a unique opportunity to reach and interact with consumers who are planning their next projects and looking to make them happen ”.

Already available for a few months in the United States, Story Pins are now available in beta version in France via this link. Concretely, they allow more or less the same type of content creation as on Snapchat or Instagram stories, with sequences of videos, images or text for example. Dedicated to sharing tutorials, advice or recipes for example, these stories will however have the particularity of not being ephemeral. Once published, they will be kept indefinitely by the platform and accessible to all … until its creator decides to delete it of course.

Everything to edit content from the app

With the arrival of Story Pins, it will now be possible to enrich its content with a slew of new editing tools, available directly on the social network. We thus note the possibility of speeding up a video, or of creating montages from sequences, but also of adding text on top for example. A dedicated section will also be available to indicate the ingredients of a recipe, or the list of materials needed to make a tutorial for example. For viewers, it will also be possible to react directly to stories via the comments.
