Ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, Pininfarina mysteriously announced an automotive revolution. But withheld further information. But the revolution now turns out to be “just” an exclusive special model of the Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar that was shown a year ago but will not be launched until early 2021.

Especially for the special model created for the 90th birthday of the Italian body and design specialist Pininfarina with the recently founded offshoot Automobili Pininfarina: it is only built five times by hand and painted in several layers, is one of the 150 copies that the Battista will ever offer and costs at least 2.6 million francs.

Faster than an F1 car
The future owner will receive the most powerful car in the world! Four electric motors (two at the front, two at the rear) produce a total of 1900 HP and 2300 Nm of torque! This should go faster than in the Formula 1 car in less than two seconds to 100 km / h and further to around 350 km / h top. The range of the electric two-seater equipped with a 120 kWh battery is around 500 kilometers (WLTP). If you call up the full power more often, the Pininfarina technicians suspect that it should melt to less than 100 kilometers.

An S-LUV follows next
Boss Paolo Pininfarina says: “It doesn’t matter whether we will finish the Battista a month earlier or later. It is crucial that we succeed. » And another model should ensure this from 2022; a so-called S-LUV (Super Luxury Utility Vehicle) – a mixture of crossover and coupe on the same platform as the Battista.
