turned Paris From the city of light to the city of garbage, after the emergence of piles of garbage in its streets after the strike of sanitation workers, which is expected to continue until the end of this week, according to the Spanish newspaper “La Pangordia”.

The newspaper pointed out that the cleaners announced a strike because of their opposition to a controversial bill to reform the retirement system, which requires an increase in the retirement age in France from 62 to 64 years.

She explained that in total, at least 5,400 tons are currently accumulating on the sidewalks of many neighborhoods in the French capital, those where waste is not removed by private service providers, according to local media.

In addition to this visible pile of waste, three garbage incinerators in the Parisian metropolitan area have been crippled.

And the neighbors began to complain about the smell and say that it affects tourism, as in the case of Paris, other French cities were affected by the strike in garbage collection, but the mobilization also included other sectors since last Wednesday.

In the field of transportation, the strikes this weekend affected both air transport and railways, whose services will continue to experience disruptions in the next few days.

In the field of energy, blockades will also be prolonged in many refineries in the country, although they have not yet caused a fuel supply crisis like the one that occurred at the end of 2022 due to economic demands by workers.
