ITV News has gained access to new photos showing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson toasting others in Downing Street.

According to the channel, the photos were taken on 13 November 2020 during one of the shutdowns in the pandemic. At that time, one could only leave home if the grandmother had a specific reason, such as going to work. One was also not allowed to meet others indoors, according to Sky News.

The channel writes that the pictures again put the prime minister’s statements that he did not know of any breach of corona rules in doubt.

These are four new photos that, according to ITV News, were taken at a party for outgoing communications director Lee Cain.

You can see several wine bottles and a liquor bottle on the table, as well as wine glasses and plates. There are a total of seven people visible in the photos, in addition to the photographer. ITV News has not succeeded in identifying all the participants.

In several of the pictures, it may look like Johnson is talking to the others. He gestures, smiles and toasts while holding a glass.

Fined

Boris Johnson has repeatedly claimed that all corona rules were followed in Downing Street. Sky News points out that Johnson has repeatedly denied that parties were held in Downing Street during the shutdown.

Johnson was asked in Parliament on December 8, 2021 whether a party took place that day:

– No, but I am sure that no matter what happened, the advice and rules were followed at all times, he said then.

Johnson and his wife are already fined in «Partygate».

The opposition in Britain believes that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has misled MPs in his statements to them about “Partygate” and has voted for a further investigation.
