Have you ever wondered what it’s like to watch a sunset from the surface of Mars? This is what new and impressive images of the US space agency “NASA” showed.
And the “NASA” website said that the veteran rover “Curiosity” captured the amazing sunset scene from the surface of Mars, at the start of a new cloud imaging campaign.
And the new images, taken last month, clearly show the sun’s rays on the red planet.
The source stated: “When the sun descended above the horizon on February 2, the sun’s rays lit up a group of clouds. These rays are known as the auroral rays.”
“This was the first time that sunlight was clearly seen on Mars,” he explained.
The rover captured the sun’s rays in the form of panoramic images (28 images), before sending them to Earth for processing.
And Curiosity is a nuclear-powered Mars rover. It landed on the Red Planet in August 2012.
