The day of 12 mars 2013 remains engraved in the memory of many inhabitants of Caen (Calvados) and its agglomeration.

A real snowstorm had struck in a few hours, paralyzing the city and the roads.

Your memories

On the page Facebook from Liberté/Actu.fr, we asked you to tell us about your memories of that day. All in all, only good memories remain.

It was too beautiful and I saved the local newspaper with all these beautiful and chaotic photos for my grandchildren to see this exceptional event in our region. Everything was not easy, impossible to get out of the subdivision by car so to go to work, do the shopping a few kms away on foot, but everything was so beautiful this first morning.

Thibault was born on Thursday the 7th, released on Monday and Tuesday, everything was snowed in. The stroller was quickly tested and it rolled perfectly in the powder.

At the end of my working day, I found myself faced with a wall of snow, I had to leave my car in the middle of the night with a garbage bag on my head to protect me from the wind and the cold. After a few steps a nice gentleman in a tractor picked me up, there was no mark between the road and the fields.

Living not far from the clinic in the park, I hosted 2 colleagues, and I remember that early in the morning, they went back to work, but we had a snowdrift in front of the front door. I have memories of incredible fun.
