It all started in November 2022, when digital marketer Molly Clark posted a link to an animal adoption website featuring a big cat named Fishtoffer on Twitter.

The kitten was located in New Jersey, USA. Fishtoffer was described as a quiet and affectionate kitten.
Clarke’s tweet was liked by 167,000 people and just two days later he had found his new home.

According to an animal adoption website, the sadness on his face was probably longing for his family.
Fishtoffer’s owner, Laura, shared the kitten’s adoption story on TikTok this week, which has been viewed at least 2.5 million times.
“Fishtoffer was special. I didn’t realize how popular this post would be. I just saw a cute cat that needed a home,” said the kitty’s owner.
Laura thinks that so many people follow the kitten’s story because of his interesting appearance.
“I think his story, from sadness and depression to finding home and happiness, has given a lot of people optimism,” says Laura.
