MEXICO CITY, August 10 (EL UNIVERSAL).- He is only 16 years old, but Phoenix Guerrero, Yuridia’s son, is beginning to open his own path in music.
A few months ago the young man released his first single and to the surprise of many, he did not lean towards pop or romantic ballads, like his famous mother, but towards a completely different genre, that of lying corridos.
The song, titled “Hijo de”, is available on his YouTube channel and already has more than 100,000 views. The lyrics are his own and in which he makes it clear that he does not want to be recognized for his origins, but for his own talent and what he is capable of achieving as an artist.
Although until now Phoenix had kept a fairly low profile before the media, on social networks he usually shares a bit of his work as a musician and has even done some covers of well-known songs within the movement to which he belongs; He even announced that he is already preparing the launch of a new song that will be called “El M”.
The reactions from the fans of the interpreter of “I already forgot” were immediate and although many of them congratulated the young man for his work and encouraged him to continue, others assured that he still has a long way to go to become a great singer and they even recommended a change of style.
The truth is that Guerrero has been showing his interest in music for some years now; He has appeared in various videos alongside his father, fellow former academic Edgar, playing various instruments and singing some of his own songs.
