Phoenix Contact has unveiled its new product ranges, including narrow one-channel switches for protection of PTCB equipment, DC / DC converters from Phoenix Contact for the solar industry and new class 100 machine lighting.
The narrow single channel circuit breakers for PTCB equipment protection from Phoenix Contact are now supplied with approval for hazardous locations class I, div 2 groups A, B, C, D, temperature class T4. In this way, these devices can also be used in Ex areas (division 2) with gases and vapors that are generated for a short period of time.
Products are verified to UL 121201 and include the cULus listed logo. The widening of the field of application makes its use very versatile together with greater flexibility. Thanks to a total width of 6 mm, which saves space, the devices offer reliable protection against short-circuit currents and overload in tight spaces. The range of narrow electronic switches for protection of PTCB equipment covers a wide spectrum of requirements: from products with adjustable or fixed nominal currents, remote reset function and even special challenges in case of use according to NEC class 2.
DC / DC converters from Phoenix Contact for the solar industry
The new DC / DC converters of the Trio product family from Phoenix Contact power your installation directly from the field. AND They offer a reliable power supply, even without a central network. With an input voltage range of 450 V DC to 1650 V DC, the device is particularly suitable for all photovoltaic installations and can also be used in other areas. It complies with the EN 62109 standard and guarantees a safe operation of the installation.
DC / DC converter allows direct and immediate power supply of string monitoring inside equipment connection boxes. Electrical safety up to 1650 V DC is confirmed by partial discharge measurement and is the prerequisite for ensuring safe operation of the installation in a high voltage range up to 1500 V DC. In addition to the high partial discharge resistance, thanks to the innovative switching topology for various grounding concepts, it guarantees safe operation even with transient voltages of up to 1800 V DC. The robust design and the wide temperature range from -25 ° C to 70 ° C ensure high plant availability. Push-in Technology also provides a simple and fast installation, even directly in the field.
New Class 100 Machine Illuminations
The new machine lightings Class 100 PLD M 140 W… / D25 and PLD M 140 W… / D35 / SC expand the range of machine lighting from Phoenix Contact.
PLD machine lights with the IP54 degree of protection are distinguished by their extremely narrow design. Therefore, can be perfectly integrated into machines even in very confined spaces with moderate environmental conditions, eg. ex. packaging machines. The lights provide a special illumination at a small and medium distance on the illuminated surface. You can choose from four lengths from 195mm to 895mm each with a diameter of 25mm (… / D25) or 35mm (… / D35). In the medium term, the PLD M 140 W… lights will replace the lights offered to date PLD M 160 W…. The new lights offer in this case a lumen output between two and three times higher compared to the previous products. In addition, lights with a diameter of 35 mm can be dimmed and connected in series. The change to the new lights of the class “140” can be carried out without problems, since the products can be replaced easily thanks to the equal distances of the fixing holes.
