“Pharmacy chain Euroaptieka sees 12.8% growth in turnover in 2022”

Aptieku tīkls SIA “Euroaptieka” worked with a turnover of 63.882 million euros last year, which is 12.8% more than in 2021, while the company’s profit grew by 1.5% and was 3.386 million euros, according to “Firmas.lv” information .

The management report of the company’s annual report states that sales of medicines and goods grew by 12.6% last year.

According to the management report, the increase in the turnover of “Euroaptiekas” reflects the growing market demand for pharmaceutical goods, as well as the growing role of the company in the wholesale market of medicines and hygiene products in Latvia.

Last year, “Euroaptieka” expanded its operations by renting and furnishing sales points, purchasing pharmacy inventory and necessary equipment, according to the management report.

Also, the company’s management report states that, following a strict strategy, the return on investment will remain at the current level in the following years.

The management report states that the main task of the company in 2023 is to maintain operations at the level of market development and optimize processes to ensure more efficient operation of “Euroaptiekas”. In the case of a positive economic growth scenario, Euroaptieka plans to expand the range of suppliers and products in the coming periods, as well as invest additional funds in warehouse and logistics solutions.

In 2021, “Euroaptieka” worked with a turnover of 56.614 million euros and a profit of 3.336 million euros.

“Euroaptieka” was registered in 2001, and its share capital is 229,706 euros.

The sole owner of the pharmacy network is the Lithuanian “Euroapotheca”, which is part of the “Vilniaus prekyba” holding. It also includes the retail group “Maxima Group”, the chain of construction and home goods stores “Ermitages”, as well as the operator of shopping and entertainment centers “Akropolis Group”. Holding “Vilniaus prekyba” is controlled by businessman Nerijus Numa.
