PGI Asks Jokowi to intervene in relation to the label of the novel Cs Radical

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Chairman of the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI), Gomar Gultom requested that the President Joko Widodo intervened to save the condition of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).NCP) of the current weakening efforts.

He conveyed this when receiving representatives from KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) at the PGI Office, Jakarta, Friday (28/5).

“PGI will write to the President to immediately take action to save this anti-corruption agency from these weakening efforts, by rescuing the 75 KPK employees,” Gomar said in his official statement, Friday (28/5).

Gomar admitted that he was very concerned about the recent efforts to weaken the KPK. Moreover, many of the currently marginalized employees are dealing with very significant corruption cases.

He saw the weakening of the KPK seen culminating with the labeling of intolerance and radicalism of 75 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK. Gomar is also worried that in the future KPK employees will think again to carry out their duties professionally and according to the code of ethics.

“For fear that they will be TWKed with a radical label”, Gomar continued.

Not only that, Gomar said he was surprised by President Jokowi’s statement that initially he did not want to use TWK as a basis for dismissing KPK employees. On the contrary, he considered that the statement was not followed up properly.

“Who exactly is the president?” Ask him.

Previously, several KPK investigators who did not pass the TWK met with the General Chairperson of the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) Gomar Gultom today. Their arrival is said to be to refute allegations of the ‘Taliban group’ issue within the KPK so far.
