Peugeot leaves BETC for Omnicom – Stock Image

Havas Conseil, Euro RSCG, BETC… Peugeot’s links with the Havas group delve into the history of advertising and the automobile. And yet, this historic relationship has just been broken with the formalization, yesterday, of the choice of the American group Omnicom to support the brand in its advertising creation from 1is January 2021. An agency, OPEN – Omnicom for Peugeot Engine – was created to satisfy this new client. The new agency will have access to Omnicom’s expertise worldwide according to the projects: “marketing intelligence, communication strategy, creativity, technologies, innovation and activation”. The brand press release concludes with thanks: “Peugeot would like to thank BETC and Havas who have supported the brand for over 30 years. They have contributed significantly, through their creative talent, their strategic relevance and their transformative energy, to position the mark where it is today. ”

Peugeot and BETC will leave huge creations that have won numerous awards in the history of advertising, the latest prize being Outdoor Advertising Grand Prix awarded last March for a device created for the e 2O8 electric. In economic terms, Peugeot’s advertising investments in 2019 amounted to 396.46 million euros, according to Kantar, which makes it the fourth French advertiser.
