The green certificates in our country will probably expire on March 20. From this date, the other restrictions imposed in the course of the fight against the pandemic will be lifted. This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov at an extraordinary briefing on Monday.
He stressed that according to the forecasts and analyzes by the mentioned date, the COVID map of our country will be green again and we will return to the first stage of the authorities’ plan to deal with the pandemic. Petkov also noted that Bulgaria has gone through the fifth wave of the virus, without resorting to the strictest anti-epidemic measures.
The Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev announced the three-step approach prepared by the authorities for easing the measures from now on.
“The first step – from the 24th – gives the opportunity to any public facility to admit persons without a certificate. The requirement for it remains for the staff. It is allowed to visit up to 12 children in schools, educational and language centers. This stage will came into force this week “, explained Assoc. Prof. Kunchev. He continued: “From March 5, if things are still going in a positive direction, visits to activities and services in public places will necessarily be without a green certificate, regardless of the personal opinion of the owner. However, the document will still be needed for It will now be allowed to mix classes in schools for extracurricular activities.A person with a green certificate will be able to enter Bulgaria through our border crossings from any country, without restrictive measures.If by March 20 things are going as expected, we will be able to announce that the attendance of activities and services will take place without the requirement for a certificate, and there will no longer be one for the staff. The measure will be abolished as far as access to higher education institutions is concerned. “
The chief health inspector also commented that wearing masks indoors, including on public transport, is likely to remain in place. The Waltzes will further discuss the case of student testing.
