/ world today news/ Obscurantism has reigned in the BSP. Today’s decision by the Congress to exclude 13 socialists because of their political position, which differs from that of the ruling party in the party, is unprecedented and too far from the statutory powers of those who made the decision. This was stated minutes after Sofia Petko Dimitrov, municipal councilor and member of the Executive Bureau of the BSP, was expelled from the BSP.
Dimitrov is the youngest municipal councilor in the Metropolitan Municipal Council. Among the cases in which he is directly involved are the saving of Raina Knyagina’s house and the fate of Slaveykov Square.
He is the chairman of the Youth Union of the Sofia organization of the party from 2018 to 2020. His mandate was marked by the active work and numerous initiatives of the young socialists. The “24 x 24” campaign, which was dedicated to the problems of the 24 districts of Sofia, was extremely successful.
Petko Dimitrov is the secretary of the Executive Bureau of the BSP – Sofia with the department “Youth activities and volunteering”.
“No one and nothing can prevent me from continuing to work for what I believe in as a socialist and what the people of Sofia elected me for,” Dimitrov is emphatic.
