As of today, Wednesday, July 22, day 129 of the state of emergency decreed by the Government to contain the coronavirus, Peru registers 362,087 infected and 13,579 deaths due to Covid-19, according to the Ministry of Health (Minsa). In its report on Tuesday afternoon, the Minsa reported 4,406 new infections nationwide, making the total number of cases in the country increased to 362,087. As of Monday there were 357,681.
The number of deaths also rose to 13,579, after 195 new deaths were registered, added to the 13,384 on the last Monday.

The Minsa also reported that, to date, they have 12,747 hospitalized Covid-19 patients, of which, 1,342 are in the ICU with mechanical ventilation. Of the total number of positive cases, 248,746 people also completed their period of home isolation or were discharged from a health facility.
Metropolitan Lima It remains the area with the highest number of infections by Covid-19, with 179,560 cases. Lima provinces has 13,980 positives.
Other regions of the country that present patients with Covid-19 are Callao (19,966), Piura (19,782), Lambayeque (15,922), La Libertad (13,355), Loreto (10,384), Áncash (10,529), Ucayali (9,278), Ica ( 10,223), Arequipa (10,676), San Martín (7109), Junín (6172), Tumbes (3,831), Huánuco (5,108), Amazonas (4,278), Cajamarca (4,458), Madre de Dios (2,700), Ayacucho (2,936) , Cusco (2839), Pasco (1,504), Moquegua (1,995), Puno (1,450), Tacna (2,008), Huancavelica (1312) and Apurímac (732).
