The number of positive cases of coronavirus in Peru it rose from 498 555 to 507 996 this Thursday, August 13, where a targeted quarantine has been applied, ordered by the Government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in the country.
“According to the report we have received from the task force, 3 658 more deaths have been classified so far as confirmed deaths from COVID-19. Adding this figure to the data already had by epidemiological surveillance carried out by the disease control center, we have a total of 25,648 deaths with positive laboratory tests for COVID-19, of a total of 507 996 confirmed cases since arrest since the first case”, Informed the Vice Minister of Health, Luis Suárez.

Likewise, the death toll also increased to 25 648, according to a recent report he gave at a press conference.
More than 13 thousand patients hospitalized for COVID-19
To date, there are 13,680 patients hospitalized for COVID-19, of which 1,474 are in the ICU with mechanical ventilation. Of the total positive cases, to date, 310,337 people completed their period of home isolation or were discharged from a health facility.
The Ministry of Health is analyzing the registration systems in order to update the information.
The Executive published at the end of June the norm that establishes the quarantine focused on the following regions: Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash. In Lima and the other departments, the measure was lifted from Wednesday, July 1.

Last Saturday came the rule that extends the targeted quarantine for three provinces of Cajamarca and one of Cusco. In the case of Cajamarca, these are the provinces of Cajamarca, Jaén and San Ignacio; while in Cusco it was applied to the province of La Convencion.

“No one can turn their gaze on this sad reality, these children have not only lost their father or mother, for this we will approve an orphan’s pension for 200 soles per month, until these children reach the age of majority ”.
