The duel between Persija and Persib in the continuation of the Indonesian League 1 on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, was indeed marked by an anti-war campaign from the two teams to call for an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict that had occurred since last week.

Before the match started, both teams did a photo session with their 11 starter players.

Players from both teams held up banners reading “Stop War.”

The banner is intended to call for an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine which began on February 24.

In the photo shoot, there was a unique sight because one of the Persib Bandung midfielders, Mohammed Rashid, did not take a photo.

At that time, Mohamed Rashid chose to step back a little and not hold a banner that read “STOP WAR” to condemn the act of war between Russia and Ukraine.

The Palestinian player was ultimately not seen in the photo of 11 Persib Bandung players.

The photo also went viral and made Rashid in the spotlight.

He immediately responded by uploading his personal Instagram Stories, @moerashid95.
