REPUBLIC OF BOBOTOH – PT Persib Bandung Dignity (PBB) gave an explanation regarding the ‘strange’ position of goalkeeper coach Luizinho Passos in the line-up (DSP) when Persib faced Barito Putera, last weekend.
Director of PT PBB, Teddy Tjahjono admitted that Luizinho Passos’ coaching license did not meet the specified requirements.
But, Teddy insisted, it would be unfair to accuse the club of doing everything possible to get Luizinho Passos into the DSP. There is a logical reason and it should be understood by all parties, said Tedddy.
“Chronologically, Passos has been in Indonesia for 5 years. So far, the training certificate has always been approved, so far it has not been a problem,” Teddy explained, Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
“Now there is a new regulation from the AFC which states that goalkeeping coaches must be level 1 and given very limited time.”
“But during 2020 there will be no coaching courses at all, now how can clubs in Indonesia that have signed coaches suddenly have to be level 1 in less than 2 days and have to change coaches.”
“What is the communication from the AFC like, why wasn’t last year the coach given time to meet those criteria. There is a background or background that must be known. It’s not like that.”
“So you can’t blame the club, that’s why it’s going to be a bit difficult because the requirements arose when AFC licensing was carried out. Now the certification must be given by an instructor from the AFC.”
“Now during the pandemic, AFC does not conduct courses, instructors cannot come. How can participants get certification if there is no course? The solution (for Luizinho Passos) is as an analysis,”
“There is Pak Gatot as a goalkeeping coach, Passos as an analyst. Just his name, because Pak Gatot meets the criteria for level 1, Passos is also capable of analyzing matches so he is a technical analysis in DSP.”

Odd Position 4 Goalkeeper Coaches League 1 Club

The Brazilian coach, became one of the figures who caught the attention of the Instagram account, @ football observer who uploaded a photo of a line of goalkeeping coaches with strange positions in DSP in the opening week of League 1.
In DSP Persib against Barito Putera, Luizinho Passos was plotted as a technical analysis video, not as a goalkeeping coach as it should be.
Apart from Luizinho Passos, there are three other goalkeeping coaches who have been highlighted for having odd positions. Among them, Persipura Jayapura goalkeeper coach, Fison Merauje, who was plotted as a kitman.
Then Arema’s goalkeeping coach, Felipe Americo and Bali United’s goalkeeping coach, Marcelo Da Silva Pires, both were written as translators.
The account @pengamatsepakbola stated, because the four allegedly had problems with their coaching licenses.
